Are you called to serve God in ministry?
Do you need help paying for the required education for credentialing?
We're here to help.
Our District has a scholarship program to assist young people who are called to ministry with their tuition
To apply, fill out the application and attach an unofficial copy or screenshot of your transcripts and email The Credentialing Department at credentials@agncn.org or mail to:
Attn: U25 Scholarship
6051 S Watt Ave Sacramento, CA 95829
Who qualifies?
Must be under the age of 25.
Must be active in an Assemblies of God ministry in the Northern California or Nevada District: a church, Chi Alpha, or Teen Challenge.
Must feel called to ministry and intend to seek credentials with the Assemblies of God.
Must be recommended by their Pastor, Chi Alpha, or Teen Challenge Director (must have A/G credentials.)
What will funds go for?
Funds will be used to reimburse tuition cost for qualified, applicable, ministerial course-work at approved schools.
Courses must satisfy credentialing requirements.
Participants must be enrolled at Berean/Global or a Presbytery approved school (list below). Students are encouraged to enroll in live/class-room instruction whenever possible, but independent study courses will also qualify for reimbursement.
Applications will be accepted for courses that began after September 1, 2015
Scholarship is available for all levels of credentials, until the candidate is 25.
Students may not qualify for Ordination level courses until applicant has received a first credential (Unless classes are taken “out of order” due to the school’s academic schedule).
How will funds be distributed?
Reimbursements will be distributed to the student’s school upon receipt of a report card or transcript indicating successful completion of the course. (The school can apply the payment toward future classes.) Final payment (upon graduation) may be paid directly to the student.
Those with a current credential or Associate Commission who are pursuing education to advance their credentials may qualify for pre-payment of their tuition (at the beginning of each semester) rather than reimbursement.
Candidates must reapply for qualification and reimbursement at the completion of each semester.
How much is the scholarship?
The district will pay a flat $100 for each course. This is the average cost a course at Berean Bible School (the denominational school.)
